If so get a spare phone and plug it in. Is there a dial tone? if there is that means there is a live line there – ask yourself do you still need that line? because you will certainly be paying for it! Check your bill for any unnecessary chargesNext time a telephone bill comes in, take the opportunity to analyse the call usage. Check how much has been spent against each telephone line number and identify any that have a very low call spend. Ask yourself ‘Do we really need this line - or could we be saving line rental? Look out for Premium rate numbersCalls starting with 0900 are mostly attached to competition lines, gambling etc and normally attract call costs in the region of £1.00 per minute or more.
